HID Xenon Headlamp Conversions - More Information
World Class
Quicksilver Automotive have been selected to distribute the Kaixen range of xenon lighting systems in the UK. These world-class products are produced in South Korea by AFC Global, an ISO 9001 company, who produce original equipment lighting for car manufacturers, and who produce this superb upgrade equipment to improve the lighting systems on cars that are originally fitted with halogen lighting.
Suitable for the purpose?
Many lighting upgrades are cheaply produced units, and are adapted from copies of OE equipment. They are not always very gentle on your car's existing electrical systems, and often put the bulb replacement unit in the wrong position relative to the lens or the reflector, or both. This causes severe light scatter, with oncoming drivers inconvenienced, and can damage your car's equipment.
Complete
The kits we supply, or supply and fit, are complete, and whether you choose to fit them yourself, or have our engineers expertly transform your lighting, they are fully guaranteed for 12 months against any manufacturing defect. If you have us fit them, we also guarantee our fitting for a full 12 months. The amplifier, or ballast units have clever "soft-start" circuitry, so that they can never overload your car wiring, and the bulb replacement "burner" units will give perfect focus in your car's existing headlights.
Effectiveness
Our xenon conversions increase the light output from your existing headlights by between 300 and 400%, but they only draw 35 watts, as compared to the standard halogen system 55 watts. How do they do it? Well, by stepping up the voltage in the ballast, or amplifier units to a hair-curling 25,000 volts, they can effortlessly create a super-bright arc of light that is much closer to natural sunlight that any other form of lighting. This means that not only do you see more, but because it is light that your eyes are used to, you see better, with colours appearing more natural. This makes night driving relaxing and safe. Because the visible range is effectively increased from 55 metres to 100 metres, you will see further ahead, and others will see you sooner - safer all round!

Money-Back Guarantee
In the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with your investment, we will refund your complete purchase cost, as long as you have not damaged the equipment.
Fitting Service
We offer a full fitting service for lighting systems and all of the other equipment that we sell at our Birmingham premises. We can also cover most parts of the mainland UK with our mobile fitting service. Either way, everything is fully guaranteed.
Application
We can upgrade the lighting on most cars, motor cycles and commercial vehicles. Spotlights and foglights can also be upgraded in most cases. Where the budget will not stretch to an HID Xenon conversion, we can also offer uprated halogen bulbs, and colour-keyed bulbs to replace the "Yellow look" sidelight or interior light bulbs.
Most modern cars have single-filament bulbs, with one per side per beam. This gives the option to upgrade both low and high beams to xenon, using two kits, or if the budget is tight, just the most used (dipped) beam. If this cheaper second alternative is chosen, it is wise to upgrade the remaining (high) beam headlamp bulb to an uprated, colour keyed halogen bulb, as it can appear very yellow and ineffective compared to the new xenon system.
Some cars have a twin filament (H4) system. On these cars, instead of a single beam on dipped setting, and then two beams coming on when high beam is selected, there is a changeover, as the two filament system cannot cope with the heat from both filaments being lit at once. We supply a bi-xenon, high-low system for these cars, for little more than the cost of a normal single beam system. An automatic solenoid unit automatically aims the beam to the correct angle whether low or high is selected.
Costs - £100 saving!
